I had a similar experience the first time I saw it (I was also relatively young). It's amazing how something like that can stay with popular culture for more than 20 years. A group recently organized the world's largest Thriller dance inspired by that Micheal Jackson video. I believe a reported 22,256 people participated from all over the world. That's pretty insane.
