Obviously, I was, still am, crazy about skiing. Totally a rookie, and fell down quite several times on the fluffy snow. NO complaints!! Since it’s a dream come true!

Korea has numerous skiing resorts, and Gangchon Ski Resort is one of them that situated quite near to Seoul. We went for skiing on the Christmas Day! Yay! One of the best present ever!

About 60% of the group joined in the skiing experience and we spent almost 5 hours there. The eldest couple in our group who almost/in their 60’s, was unexpectedly sporting. Although they didn’t ski, but they kept urging us to try out different slopes around, while helping us to take several snapshots. In fact, they claimed if they were younger, they would definitely try whatever things they had their hands on. I love their spirit! Thanks Jane, you guys are awesome.

Us, Michelle & her mom
If you’re a ski enthusiast, big possibility you’re going to enjoy gliding down from the long slopes, not only for the speed, but for a wide view of the natural scenery there as well. I didn’t get to climb too high up, but enjoyed the lower, long slope 100%! Just beware not to run into anybody else, especially little kids! Although the tour guide did mischievously advice,
“Saw any cute girl/guy? Just went for it, and hug her/him!” Well, maybe just the beginner slopes. Ha…

You bet there’s gonna be a next time!

Snowboarding is great! The best thing is that if you fall off you don’t have to grab skis and stocks from everywhere, you just get up again.
Hi Ryan, you’re right! You know, I really love to try that out, sadly didn’t get the chance. I saw some kids were under tutoring to play snowboarding, they were great! One of the toughest things about skiing, is learning how to get up! Especially when the handles are out of sight.. ha..
Thanks for dropping by. =)
I want to play snow
Nice pictures.
It looks like you had a really great time. Thank you for sharing the photos. And good luck with the move to your own domain. I hope it goes smoothly for you.
Hi Yan, Mae, for now I just hope the raindrops could turn into snow flakes here.. but if so, it’ll be The Day After Tomorrow.. =P I officially declare, I love winter! (not over -20 degrees though)
Thanks Anne. Yes, indeed I have. I sure hope everything goes smoothly, no hiccups.. pray hard! =)
Take care.
That looks fun! I’ve been snowboarding before, which was interesting to say the least! The problem about snowboarding is you can’t jump off it like a skateboard!
Ching Ya, I started a new blog. Drop in check it out. Have a blessed day.
Thanks Nathan. =) It must be a thrilling experience. I just having this problem of balancing myself, and to stop the gliding at will. I wonder what’s the secret of it all. More practise??
Hi Mae. Yup, I’ll definitely give it a browse. And congrats on the opening of your new blog! =)
Great skiing pictures. Can you believe that where I live, we get lots of snow every winter and I have NEVER been skiing? I should be embarrassed to admit that. lol. I need to try it. Glad you had fun.
Lilymom, I envy you so much! ^^ I should drop you a visit in future, and let’s go skiing together! ha..
No problem, from the way I see it, you’re doing just fine with your gardening. Can’t wait to see your pics in Spring.
