How To Pick Up From Your Blogging Downturns

blogging downturns

Have you ever been confined in your own limitations?

Are there obstacles stopping you from reaching your blogging goals?

Ever thought about quitting?

Some negative thoughts, you would say. In fact, they may hide somewhere inside your mind, waiting to strike once you hit the blogging downturns.

We all have ups and downs in life. No one ought to judge another as each has his/her imperfections when dealing with real life matters. I had visited a few blogger friends recently who are in the process of picking up their paces in blogging; or holding their online passions temporarily due to other matters.. That’s perfectly understandable. I have nothing but respect for their courage and perseverance in continuing what they believe in — “It’s tough but I’ll survive.”

Life is not a bed of roses, what really matters is how you able to withstand the challenges and pick up from what you left off. As a blogger friend of mine, David Doolin said it – beat the blogging blues!

How To Pick Up From Your Blogging Downturns?

1. Prepare Your Mindset

– Believe it as our minds control our acts. We are easily influenced by things we see, hear and feel. Before  you’re getting into negativeness, correct your mindset asap! Don’t let discouragements overrun you. Avoid vulnerability and get warmed up, set your mode to READY- SET- GO!.

prepare your mindset

2. Restructure Your Site & Blogging Goals

– Treat this an opportunity to rebuild your site with energy. List out steps required for modifications: change your theme, make your blog do-follow, give your presentation a breath of fresh air. Always a good idea to use mind mapping strategy if you’re unclear of your present goals.

restructure blogging goals

3. Reconnect with Readers/Blogger Friends

– Relationships are hard to build, remember those who diligently send you regards and wondering how’ve you been? Reach out to your readers through emails and visit their sites, explaining your comeback and how much you appreciate them sticking around your site while you’re gone. Asking for opinions on what they expect to see in your site’s revival. Spend time doing blog/social networking. To me, that’s just as essential as getting a killer blog post ready.

reconnect with readers blogger friends

4. Release your come-back-post with a BANG!

– As any comeback, first post is EXTREMELY important! You may need to explain your hiatus or disappearance but needless to go far with it. Why drain yourself more into negativity? Set it aside and go towards positivity. Either reward your readers with some giveaways, announce new blog plans and what to expect in coming posts etc — but make sure you’re really on to that. Don’t give false promises.

return with a bang

5. Get the Ball Rolling with Momentum

– You may need to do a little bit more to capture the attentions. I would suggest to either increase your posting frequency or give them the killer posts that you used to do! Provide visitors reasons to come back and support you. Remember, continue to build quality networks. A blog is useless without audiences. Return favors and be insightful in your commenting, you’re representing the NEW you and your blog. Don’t underestimate the power of such exposures.

ball rolling with momentum

6. Not Being The Forgotten

– Do you used to be active in forums? May be a good time to return and help out in answering some threads. Active in social media sites? Then get right on to it! Listen more to follow up the trends in your niche. Do not get yourself buried. You can even get in touch with your blogger friends and see if they’re willing to help out in a mention for your post in Twitter etc. I believe it’s not too much to ask, don’t get too ‘egoistic’ to ask for a tiny favor. Ever heard of a friend in need is a friend indeed? Time to find out.

not being the forgotten

7. Patience. And Never Ever GIVE UP!

– To have everything under control you need to first keep away the loser thoughts of ‘I CAN’T!’ as far as possible! It’s normal to get discouraged or horrified with so many ‘extra’ things you need to cover to make a come-back, or when you’re not getting the results you hoped for. However, I can assure you every effort counts! Remember how you started blogging? It didn’t take just a week to get PR 6 right? The condition now is way much better – you have connections, you exist in search engines! With experience and new determinations, you can still go a long way.

never give up

An Inspirational Clip That Moves Me

I was deeply moved by the clip below. Came across it while searching for ‘Motivational Video’ in conjunction with my husband’s birthday. I never watched the movie before, but this is truly a valuable find. I dedicate this to all my beloved readers and blogger friends — never underestimate your ability to do something bigger. Throw away the negativity and push to the limit if you have to. Do your best and live with no regrets.

It’s Your Turn…

I would love to hear you ideas on how you pick up from your blogging downturns. If you never experienced one, kindly suggest some relevant ideas on how to deal with the problem in the comments below. You just may help someone who needs them. ^^

  1. These are great ideas, and I’ve used many of them myself in the past 13 years!

Something about blogging downturns for me is that I find I pressure myself to release a big post when I start writing again – to write about everything I missed during the gap! And because that’s too much to do, I get overwhelmed and find that a real blocker. My own way to deal with it is to give myself permission to release a small post when I start again, not need to come back with a bang, but sneak back in the side door so to speak. Then once I’m back in the groove I can do the big flashy things again! It’s the opposite to your suggestion, but it works for me 🙂

    1. Ricky,

Thank you so much for your valuable opinion.

I understand the overwhelming feeling when one is trying to catch up after sometimes. At times, starting with a small step is just as good! Different people have their own paces. ^^ As least we all start with something right?

Very insightful comment. I truly appreciate you sharing it.

  2. Great post, Ching Ya! I found that by reconnecting myself to my readers actually gave me that “boost” to keep on going 🙂 It’s certainly good to know that you are not the only one out there

If you like Facing the Giants, I’m sure you’ll love “Fireproof”, from the same maker, and even a better movie 🙂

    1. Michael,

I feel the same way. I find communications between readers and blogger friends can really help in pumping up the spirit. Interchanging blogging experiences and mutual encouragements are priceless.

Thank you so much for introducing Fireproof. I’m always up for more motivational videos. Will be on the lookout for sure!

      See you soon.

    1. Welcome Steven,

Pleasure to have you here. I appreciate you leaving such an encouragement comment here. Looking forward to see you here often. Will be visiting your site shortly to get to know you better.

Glad you enjoy the clip. Best wishes!

  3. Time is the only challenge I have to face all the time, I am reaching my goals but taking a lot of my time working hard to go through it! I need mind mapping for sure!

Very soon I will have to stop blogging for a few days and your post remind me with my tasks 🙂 thanks a lot for the good information!

    1. Hesham,

Good to see you my friend. Hope things are well for you.

Time.. if only we can get full control of it. Due to certain reasons, I have to cut down my working time online as well. It’s even harder but I try to see it as training myself to work smarter. Difficult but ‘am trying to keep up.

Should have made the points into a checklist. ^^ Will be anticipating your come back after the temporary ‘pause’. I wonder what’s the occasion? Good news? Vacation? 🙂

        1. Hesham,

Sounds exciting! Hope you can adapt well and fast at the new place. Do update us about your experience. ^^

I also hope can join the author club, but depends on current working and health condition. We’ll see. 🙂

    1. Ricky,

Oh yes! You just reminded me a good point — Guest Posting.

Well done, my friend. Guest posting can be another great alternative in case one is out of ideas or having mind blocks in blogging. A blog doesn’t have to be left empty while one is away due to some occasions. Good idea apart from schedule postings.

    1. Jonathan,

Thank you so much for dropping by. I’m truly glad you like it. For someone who’s used to write about lengthy posts, I hope this can be a good digestion for all. ^^

Hope to see you again sometimes.

  4. After I had such a big Stumble run with a post a few weeks ago (over 2000 unique visitors on one post one day,) it was hard to go back to “business as usual” over in funstertown. 🙂

Just a mini downturn for my mind.

But, I LOVE how you remind me about patience in blogging, a nice little shot in the arm for me today.

And I love what ProBlogger wrote about the other day on PASSION and that you should write when you’re in the mood, not on a schedule.

Now, sing Rod Stewart’s, Passion Passion…

    🙂

    1. Jannie,

Again, I totally adore that post (stumbled) of yours! No worries, that wouldn’t be the last time we see Jannie+Kelly on SU for sure. 🙂

There’s always high/low in our blogging. Having been on top of the world in a few days/weeks, then back to the ground, continue to work on coming posts. ^^ Still it’s a good encouragement for us:

      – good things will happen to us;
      – motivate us to work harder in future;
      – a way to keep us humble and more appreciative;

Appreciate your words, Jannie. Thanks for the Rod’s song — Passion.. Passion.. lol.. you rock!

  5. Ching ya, let me tell you that I really liked your post, in fact I always enjoy reading your posts. You have the power to make us spend more time on your blog and digg your article! that’s what I did.

Concerning blogging, the only thing that could make me stop blogging is if I’m bankrupt.. of course, it’s frustratting to not see any R.O.I when you invest a lot of money in your online business… I noticed many blogger stopped their blog suddently because they either loosed motivation and were impatient about making profit from their blog…

Some top blogger are claiming that not so many people can make money online, and now I understand why.

Your post kept me motivated. It’s true… we always need guidelines… top bloggers also follow someone advices, as a matter of fact, we learn from other people.

What I love about your spirit is the positiveness and energy in every comment you shared not just here, but in multiple blogs as well. I enjoy your blog as much, it’s great to have such a knowledgeable blogger friend/reader. Thank you so much for the support.

Money-making to me, is always about skills, trials, massive efforts and some luck. 🙂 I’m starting to learn bit by bit in this subject, not easy. I love your dedication in your blogging goals, with that spirit and determination, I really wish you a great success! I have faith you can achieve it — ever growing traffic and reputation.

      Best wishes!

      1. I’ve bought a lot of recommended ebook on the internet, and acquire some enought knowledge to know the guidelines about making profit from blogging. What these ebook were lacking is articles like the one you wrote above that make you keep motivated about blogging. It really inspires me. It’s really an honor for me to be count as your friend. Thank you.

          Of course you are. ^^

I appreciate the blog networking with you and hopefully we get to learn and motivate each other more in achieving our goals. I always treasure a blogger friend who owns a positive attitude and willing to give and share. That’s really a virtue hard to find these days.

    1. Asswass,

Oh yes! That’s very true. When I’m out of ideas, it prompts me to read more and communicate with others to brain storm. Social networking really does help a lot in this case. ^^

      Great seeing you here!

    1. Hameedullah,

Thank you so much for visiting.

I agree. Being a blogger is no easy journey, but it’s all about learning. I believe even pro bloggers are very much learning these days as we do. There’s no perfect bloggers around so we can only try to be better as challenges will build us up. 🙂

      Pleasure to have you here!

I’m no way near talented, really. I hope I am but I’m not. I’m thankful to everyone who has given me encouragement and inspirations from their comments, that’s what really motivates a blogger to strive harder and move on.

Because of that, I’m grateful to you, Sernan. It means a lot to have you as a reader.

    1. S. Pradeep Kumar,

Setting goals is very important! I think you made a great decision to list out the goals and adhere to them. I’m impressed! I’m sure in no time you’ll be sharing your victory with us for nailing them all! ^^

  7. These are fantastic tips as usual Ching Ya. I have to say I think I am lucky this doesn’t really apply to me, at least not yet.

I have turned blogging into my full time passion and well “career” in a way since I left my formal job. So this is what I love to do. Will I love it forever, who knows? Maybe and probably not…after all we all change, but for now I am grateful for where I am 🙂

Fantastic! Keep the momentum going. I wish nothing but all the best in achieving your goals and bright future ahead. With your passion and determination, you can do it for sure! You go girl!

  8. Love it Ching Ya. There are days when I feel very uninspired and it took me a while to come to terms with the fact that it is okay NOT to post when I feel that way. Time away from blogging doesn’t have to be time away from blogs – I find stopping around my favourite blogs, reading and leaving comments often gets me fired up to start writing again.

    1. Michelle,

That’s so true. I must agree by visiting other blogs it can usually fire up the spirit. No ideas doesn’t mean we need to force it. It may be a warning to stop and listen more instead. 🙂 I love your ideas, that’s why I’m always there to read your site and get myself reminded how fun blogging can be! Never ever give up!

      Love seeing you here again!

    1. Thanks Pink Momma,

Definitely. When Blogging vs. Family, that’s hard. ^^ No problem, as long we still come back eventually. We don’t really need to ditch either one, right?

Thanks so much for visiting, Rose.. Pink Momma. 🙂

  9. Blogging downturns is a natural phase among bloggers. However, you are right that we should keep a positive mindset. Ordinarily, when we can’t come up with ideas we simply give up, believing that we have reach the end of our creativity. Still I believe in our infinite capacity. All that is needed is to keep the ball rolling and never give up. 🙂
.-= Walter´s last blog ..Deciding point: conquering limitations =-.

    1. Walter,

      Well said! Couldn’t agree more.

To give up is a choice. “We worked so hard to reach here, is it worth to let go without a fight?” — we all have that question popping up, once in a blue moon maybe. I try leaving myself with no options but continue or rest awhile. 🙂

  10. Excellent. For me, the constant need to come up with new and fresh IDEAS for blog posts can be a challenge.

What I do is, EVERY TIME I get an idea which COULD spawn a blog post, I write it down. Then I’ll look at the idea every so often, think up a few more ideas from that original idea… and before you know it, you have the outline for a fresh blog post!

So every time you get an IDEA, write it down. Straight away. That idea could become a blog post in a week or two’s time.
.-= Paul Hancox, copySnips´s last blog ..How To Eliminate Objections Using Headlines… =-.

    1. Paul,

I did the exact same thing. What I learned is that inspirations don’t come easily; when they do, shall never be treated lightly as well. ^^ That’s the motto I have, so draft papers are my best friends when it comes to writing. I use a journal to bind them up, it’s a life saver to me whenever I’m out of ideas.. well, next to praying that is. 🙂

      Thanks so much for sharing.

  11. Sham,

Thank you so much for commenting. ^^

Peers and readers are all important. Having them backing us up is one great encouragement. Rocky IV is a good choice too, thanks for suggesting that. 🙂

    Best wishes!

  12. I think that one thing you can do when you’re feeling down on your blog is go back through and bring your favorite or most popular posts from your archives back in a creative way. Like a year in review (6 months, 1 month, etc.) or a top 10 posts of this blog. Those posts are usually popular, they let new readers see your older work, and it reminds you just how good at blogging you really are, which gives you the boost to start again.

Another good one if you’re stuck on ideas is to take an older, popular post, and look at what may be outdated in it. Then revamp it and release it as an update.

    1. Kristi,

I think that’s a fabulous idea! Good suggestion to bring back the popular posts; beneficial to boost one’s confidence while allowing new readers to have a glimpse as well. Post-updating is another should-do.

      Appreciate you sharing the ideas.

  13. This is a post I definitely need. I have started MANY blogs over the past 16 months and abandoned most all of them due to thinking I was tired of whatever niche, wrong niche, not enough time to blog, etc. Sadly, the very first one I started was very similar to my current one, so if I’d stuck with it I’d be that much farther along!

    1. Christie,

Your present blog is a real success and still growing rapidly! I believe there’s a time for everything. It certainly won’t take long to see you move to another level ahead. Just be sure this one is the best; and now is the best timing for it! ^^

      Lesson learned — that’s a precious experience.

      1. Ching Ya, you are amazing. I’m about to comment on this article below but making a pit stop here 🙂

Christie, you said …”Sadly, the very first one…” How would you know that that’s your true passion? No regrets about trying other interests because in the process you confirmed that your intuition was correct. You affirmed your passion. That’s huge! So, perhaps it should be “…Happily, the very first one…” 🙂 Love your commitment and honesty!

        1. Ching Ya, Thank you for your wonderful encouragement. From the day I put up the first post, I think you were there, cheering me on and commenting every time.

Tim, Thanks so much for what you said. You are right! Instead of someone who’s forcing herself to blog and keeps quitting, I am someone who’s been trying to quit blogging but keeps starting it back up again because it is my passion. 🙂 And what better way to find that out than by trying to explore other things? I really appreciate that – and definitely needed your words this week. 🙂

Mind Mapping is something I have used lately with great success. I was just terrible managing my own time. And that created a circle effect for me that effected some of the other points you mentioned here.

Have to read the article about Mind Mapping you refer to.

Will have to give you a tweet, and add your Twitter profile to my Bloggers column. Your articles is just to awesome.

Have added you in Twitter as well. Looking forward to the networking.

  15. Hey Ching Ya,

A quality write up and it shows! You’re right, all the way through. I love the pictures, your encouragement but most importantly, your blogging friendship! I know these things to be true, because I’ve seen you practice them… you’re not just a talker but a doer! Thanks for sharing! Cheers!

You’re one of the ‘oldest’ blogger friends I know since started blogging. I’ve always loved your site and couldn’t be happier to read your new post this morning.

Believe it, you’ve been giving me a lot of encouragement back then, and more even now. It’s a blessing to have a friend like you. Thanks so much for visiting, I know you’re super busy nowdays!

Keep up the good work, Mig!

  16. I’m no way an expert on this because I even stumbled myself. Focusing on a niche blog while chasing the trends for another blog is a herculean task.

I even tried selling my other blog just to focus on the other however I realized that it would be better if I change directions a bit. I’m completely revamping my other blog. In fact, I even upgraded my hosting plan just for it. I’m not really expecting a big lunch though.

    Great post.

      Best wishes.

  17. Ching Ya, great post. But what I appreciate most is your relentless optimism and empathy.

Blogging and other social media platforms provide a unique opportunity for us to voice just about anything — our very own therapist, as needed 🙂 And with your total commitment to engaging and encouraging, the positive impact in people’s lives is stunning.

Just a quick stop by to show my appreciation. Oh, and loved the video. So inspiring.

    Keep up terrific work!

    1. Hi Tim,

Thank you for the pit stop earlier and cheering on Christie in her wonderful blogging effort. ^^ You’re one positive encouragement-giver too! An honor to have you here, truly.

I’m so glad you like the video too. 🙂

  18. My blog doesn’t have a niche – more of a web magazine featuring articles on a variety of topics. That makes it a bit easier to avoid writer’s blog, as I can shift topics if I get block – I’m not contrained by a niche. I’m not immune to writer’s block, but at least somewhat resistant.

I also do a lot of brainstorming on my commutes to and from work (30+ miles)

That’s true. Quite the same thing when I was running my personal blog. ^^ Talking about brainstorming, I even do that before I’m asleep, not advise to do so unless someone wish to get sleepless. lol..

Resistance is good though, I would hope to have some.

  19. Ching Ya… what an awesome and inspirational post. There have been many times in my 10 years (plus) Internet Marketing journey where I have almost thrown in the towel and gotten a regular job. Sometimes it was because of financial reasons, other times it was because of lack of motivation… but I knew this was the life I wanted and I just kept plugging away day by day and I have never regretted it. Sure there are days when you have zero motivation to do anything and other times when you spent so much time on a project (that you sure was going to be great), but it ended up being a total flop. You just need to get past those and keep working towards your ultimate goal… whatever that may be.

I loved all your points in this post and the images were great as well.

Also… thank-you so much for sharing that video with us, as I have never seen it before. I actually watched it twice and both times I got goosebumps and my eyes started welling up. That video, like the movie Rocky (which someone mentioned above) are extremely motivational and make you never want to give up!

Ching Ya… what I really like about you is you do not post often… but each post you do write is extremely well written and a pleasure to read. Keep up the GREAT work!

Thank you for giving us a chance to learn from you. Also your kind words will be remembered, you’ve given me a huge motivation today! I owe you my thanks.

I end up watching the movie the other day, loved it. Also the ‘Fireproof’ that Michael suggested, very well done too. Think we shall have a ‘top motivational clips’ for bloggers or some sort, wouldn’t that be nice? ^^

      Really appreciate your comment, Doug.

  20. This is a fantastic article. I have to say when I am feeling down by my blog, I take a couple of days off. Usually an incentive to write comes. Fresh ideas.

I don’t have the traffic many has but the readers I do have are very faithful and appreciated.

You have given me some very good advice with this article and a couple others I have just read.

    Thank you so much 🙂

    1. Bunny,

      Great seeing you here.

Taking a few days off is a great idea. I do that sometimes and really relax myself after all the writings. That helps. ^^

  21. I think every blogger faces there ups and there downs. I recently had knee surgery and that kept me out of the game for a while.

Now, I am back in the full swing of art school and looking to prioritize my art blog again.

Your advice was extremely timely for me and I am very appreciative for having come across it.

I’ll be heading over for a visit soon. Wonder what’s your sketch for the day is? 🙂 Appreciate you liking the post, hope it helps.

    1. Absolutely true. You know the older I get, the more I think about how truly ‘small’ I am. It’s not that I look down upon myself but there just so much bigger plans, incidents and people around us who worth being appreciated and thankful for.

The ones we usually taken for granted, like able to breathe and see our loved ones.

  22. i was a newbie and had problems with getting traffic, writing quality posts and giving killer material. I even left blogging for a year and decided that i will start a new professional blog in the niche i want to write about. After then i have made a lot of friends through social media and have gained a lot of traffic from it.

Social media is an essential part. You can gain traffic even if your blog is brand new.

    1. Gautam,

I believe it’s your networking ability that earned your results of new traffic. Good for you! I still see quite a lot of people asking how social media is able to help in blog traffic, frankly, sometimes you just need to put a little time and effort in it, engage with the right people.

All the best in your blogging journey!

  23. Ching Ya, I enjoyed the logical flow of the well written article that have took serious effort to put down, as usual 😀

As for me, I recall that I stopped blogging for quite some time in past year for some personal reasons and I recall how nervous about challenging myself -in the 1st place- was when I came back but slowly everything went OK as I nearly implemented what you’ve written here!

Simply: go for it, a blog is simply you!

p.s. I am happy to see many of bloggers whom I read for here! Excellent blog, Ching Ya 🙂 and I placed a rare long comment btw 😀

It’s a pleasure to have you here. I’m truly thankful for your ‘rare-long-comment’, it’s truly an honor. ^^

Thank you for sharing your experience. I believe a new start is what a blogger needs sometimes; in fact it could turn out to be something greater than before! The most important lesson is never give up; and don’t stop being you. I’m happy you agree with that.

Hope to see you again soon.

  24. Luckily Ching Ya, I think I can safely say that I haven’t had a blogging downturn as such. That’s probably because blogging for me is a release from my normally hectic life and I turn to it to get away from it all.

Some of it may be to do with the fact that I have so many blogs and if I ever get stuck on one particular blog I can always turn to one of the others.

I got to admit though, that if I’m ever get the blogging blues, at least I now have an inspirational post to pull me out of the dumps.

    1. Sire,

I can’t imagine handling so many of them all at once. You’re indeed a superman of multi-blogs. ^^ Keep up the good work!

I’m glad the server-switching is all well.

  25. Hello Ching Ya!

WOW! What a great blog you have!! This is my first visit and I love it.

This article is really good and I love the way you wrote and illustrated it. When I run into those times I will often go back and look at my readers comments on past articles. I get very encouraged doing this as I see that something I’ve written has meant something to someone.

    Thanks!

Indeed. Nothing is more encouraging than commenters’ words. Having someone to read/feedback about your writings is such a wonderful feeling. Satisfaction.

  26. Hi Ching. My apologize for taking so much time to make my first comment on your blog. No excuses what so ever. Anyway, better late than never, right?

This is an awesome post, and serves as an encouragement for everyone. This is definitely an “Weekly Echo” bound post.

  28. The main way I deal with blogging frustration is to 1) get myself away from the computer 2) read or go somewhere, accompanied by actual pen and paper, not a laptop.

The key for me is to have something to write – or have something written – the next time I’m at the computer. The only way to achieve that is to get ideas in my head; usually blogging frustration means that I’m checking stats online a lot, not building links or reading with an intent to comment well and write well.

    1. Ashok,

Thank you so much for sharing your ideas. I agree. Even I at times have to stay away from computer to clear off some thoughts before proceeding. A notebook & pen, instead of a laptop can still do quite a lot of magic.

Stat-checking, I used to do that a lot too. Therefore I understand the frustration. Now I decided to make that an occasional thing. ^^ A lot easier but never forgetting the goals to push it up.

      Best wishes.

  29. Patience is indeed a great virtue. We’re not all born geniuses so most of us really have to stick our nose to the grindstone to have a fair chance at success.

If you mix it with industry and passion anything can be achieved. It may take time, but with patience it will become a reality. We just have to do away with quick fixes and our fascination with instant gratification.

Very valuable ideas you’ve got here. Resonated well with me.

    1. Jan,

I appreciate your comment. Well said! Can’t agree more. 🙂

Patience is always a main problem for many. I admit at first it was tough, especially when one just started and not much success with initial trials. However, as you said, with continuous passion and appropriate fix from time to time, with patience, things will work well in the end.

      Thank you for the enlightenment.

    1. Eren,

I appreciate your kind words. It’s truly great to get to know you. You have a motivational site too. ^^ Thank you so much for commenting.

    1. The Envoy,

Good for you! ^^ Hope you’ll never have to face blogging downturns. Keep up the good work always.

    1. Klaus,

Thank you so much for willing to come back and check out my post. It’s great to be brought back here as I got a lot of encouragement from the clip myself. ^^ The guy at 5:37 said “Coach.? I weigh 160.” — meaning his actual weight is heavier than what the coach’s telling the team captain — the guy can do a lot more than he thought he could.

Talking about giving your best, I sure hope to give my best to what I’m passionate about in life. 🙂

    1. Thank you Ruchi,

It’s a pleasure to hear this and glad the time spent on the pictures are well worth it. 🙂

    1. Sunny,

Thank you and it’s great to know this post can be an inspiration for others. Appreciate your words. ^^

  30. Strange, but this is what I’m going through at the moment. Felt more like burnout than writer’s block. Starting once again with a small post is a great idea because surely the pressure to make up for lost time with a great article makes it more difficult to come back.

I saw the link in the list of 5 posts you recommended for the group blog by the way.

    1. Jan,

So happy to see you here! The power of backlinks, I like that. 🙂 Good that old posts can get some visibility from time to time.

I agree, it’s really challenging but we need to remind ourselves all the time that we can get through it. Sometimes burnout is a way to review ourselves and maybe a chance to try something new instead. ^^
