It's All About Christmas!

As an opening, allow me, to share my thoughts about Christmas, an occasion I appreciated greatly. Undeniably, Christmas has being widely commercialized nowadays. Even Santa Claus outshines the real character who should be the centre of attraction on Christmas day – our Lord, Jesus Christ. Of course, not that you can’t enjoy the presents, parties, or any fun things you ought to do during Christmas, but the main idea is to remember Jesus and be grateful for everything you have now in your life. Honestly, I’ve always taken His blessings for granted: I complaint more than praying; grumbling far too much than giving praises; angry more than be compassionate… I heard this song on the other day, and just can’t get it off my head. I’m gonna share it with you, it’s a beautiful song by Go Fish, take a listen:
2 Weeks ago, my husband and I engaged in a car accident. My husband was driving me back from work, when suddenly, a 4 wheel drive coming from the right intersection, with no intention of slowing down like it supposed to! The fear controlled my entire nerve system and I frozed. My husband honked, while grabbing hold of the steering wheel as tightly as he could since it was too late to steer away or slow down. All I could think of is praying hard that the car won’t crash into my husband! The feeling of helplessness was overwhelming! In a matter of seconds, there went the loud bang, we got hit, and the impact caused our car to slide along the road uncontrollably, then came to a full stop. It was a collision between a 4 wheel drive and a small 850cc car! Need I say more?
Putting ourselves together, I hurried checked on my husband, he looked fine, but none of us could say a word for we were in shock! We got off the car, the reckless lady driver came running to us, apologized repeatedly, explaining she didn’t see us coming. Blind Spot, Gosh!! How dangerous was that! We went to another side of our car to check on the damages, to our surprise, it was not as serious as we thought it would be. The lady driver promised to pay for the repairing expenses, and since our car was not seriously damaged, both of us were unscratched, so we didn’t call the police.

On our way home, we were very quiet. Things running through our heads, but one thing for sure, we couldn’t help feeling grateful to God that we’re both still alive. If the car slammed us any sooner or later, it would either damage our car greatly, or.. I DARE NOT think of the consequences.
Merry Christmas, everyone! And never forget the real meaning of CHRISTmas.
